The difference between our concept and the competitors is that we started this system to help a local school.
Many people have asked us:" Why is it free?"For that to answer it is important to explain where School24 came from.
The business was established by volunteers for volunteers, and there is one guiding principle to which we adhere to:
the profits generated by school canteens should be re-invested back into the school to benefit the students, teachers and parents of the local community.
There are hundreds if not thousands of free software available. So this is nothing new or out of the ordinary. One example that comes to mind is the Apache web server. It has been around since April 1996, it's powerful, it's robust and it's free. 75% of internet sites we visit today are hosted on servers using the FREE Apache web server.
Some other examples examples of free software that are used by millions of people every day are Facebook, Google, Mozilla and Skype, just to name a few.
We want to support and value the work of volunteers in bringing results and joy to others and the community. This is how this project started and this is how it will continue: 100% FREE for schools, parents, students, staff and the community.
