Over the last 12 months we have seen online ordering grow from strength to strength at Drummoyne Public School P&C operated canteen - our parents have embraced online ordering with vigour; our students think its great that they can order lunch and recess on a laptop and not in a canteen queue; and our canteen management, volunteers and P&C are finding the reporting system, online roster and the simplification of our day to day bag system invaluable. School24 have worked very closely with us to provide a fast, simple and secure online ordering and roster system. The team at School24 always listen and act promptly to our feedback and our system is now customised to operate specifically within the parameters of our canteen. In fact, the service we have had since implementing online ordering is 'remarkable' given that School24 are themselves a volunteer organisation and do not charge for their services.- our canteen is a changed place for the better as a result of School24's Online Ordering system and importantly all profit from our canteen has remained at our school.

Just wanted to give you some feedback from the Killara PS profit results of our canteen.. Usually we make around $xxx but last year it was $yyy with no price increase! The calculations done by S24 have saved us that money as we don't waste as much product. Well done to School24 and thank you!

Hi, my name is Heather Smith, and when our school first decided to put in scamps on-line ordering system I was dubious. But we have now been using it for over 6 months, and I love everything about it. Our family orders thru the system, so it is a time saver for us. My children now know how to log on, and happily place their orders for the week. They can also pre-order for a whole week. Their orders are emailed directly to my work email, so I can review what they are ordering, and speak to them about it if necessary. Our school tuckshop won the QLD health tuckshop award, so most of the things we have on offer are great for the kids, but it is good to review what they are ordering, to ensure they are getting some variety. I pay the money directly into the school tuckshop account, for simplicities sake, I pay $100 in at the start of the term, and the online system tops up, this is done by our lovely tuckshop convenor. This saves me time, and reduces money handling within the tuckshop. My understanding is that the tuckshop convenor prints out the orders on labels, sticks them on the tuckshop bags, and is ready to fill them in the morning. Scamps Online Ordering System is easy to use and saves both the families and the tuckshop convenor time and efforts. Scamp improves cash flow, as money is directly deposited into the bank account, and as it is so simple to use, parents are more inclined to let their children use the tuckshop. Scamps avoids unnecessary handling and possible pilferage, it is an unpleasant thought ‘stealing’ but it is very real and this systems puts in strong controls to eliminate that possibility. Volunteers are still required at the tuckshop to prepare lunches, and distribute, and interact with the children, but the system has taken our tuckshop into the 21st century. I sound like an advertorial, but I am in no way connected with the Scamps organisation, other than as a user. I however am an accountant who advises companies on cashflow measures, and I think this is a great system for assisting your school tuckshop. So what are you waiting for? Why have you not yet implemented the Scamps Online Ordering System?

I totally agree with your mission to let schools know there are alternatives..I was at a WA canteen group meeting where I felt obliged to inform them there were more options available to us all and not just .....
